Killing the President (Digital!)

$5.00

This is a PDF version of my comic book about the assassination of William McKinley. Weighing in at 59.6 MB you can enjoy this artisanal digital file on just about any digital device.

Anarchist orator Emma Goldman gave a speech in Cleveland, Ohio in May of 1901 that would inspire Leon Czolgosz to kill the president of the United States, William McKinley. Killing the President follows Czolgosz in the lead up to the assassination including his (maybe) failing health, his relationship with his family and his disillusionment with the socialist labor movement that led him to embrace anarchism. The graphic novel delves into the particular brand of American imperialism that McKinley began, the history of anarchism in Ohio, and Goldman's response to the assassination.
